About Me

"Shining down on her, the stars in the sky" -Come Back Down, Ivory

Stars In The Sky is about so many things there is no way we can list them all, but we'll try to give you the gist of it.
You know that feeling that you get when you look at the stars? The feeling that you're not alone in this world and that someone else is looking at those same exact stars? That's what we're aiming for.

We believe:
-only you can control your choices, your life
-you are never alone
-everyone needs someone
-you only get one life so LIVE
-we're all human so inevitably, we all make mistakes
-this world could use a little more peace and love
-you were made to love and be loved
-music will always be healing and helpful
-someone should always be there for you

We are always here to talk to whether you want to anonymously or you can email us, all our information and links are down below in this sidebar.
Write in and tell us anything at all. Tell us about your day, what makes you happy, what's going on in your life, send us a poem or pictures, or quotes. You never know, you could make someone's day.

We're like another friend, another support system to fall back on when everyone else walks out or won't listen. We all help each other and inspire each other here. We all use love and we all want to help, talk, and most importantly listen.

We are not an advice site or here to council you. We are not qualified for that. We are also unfortunately not qualified to help with suicide (there is a link to a website that lists suicide hotlines all over the world down towards the bottom of this side bar though) No matter how much we'd like to help you with such things we are not qualified, and therefore can't. Also, we are not here telling you what to do, only you can do that.

  1. so, i have to write a paper for my amh 2010 class (from the start of british colonization to 1877) and it’s pretty much a big compare/contrast of the original 13 colonies. i made my facebook status something like “dear 13 original colonies, you should’ve sucked it up and stuck with england, then maybe i wouldn’t have to write this paper about you.” some of my friends, who i haven’t talked to since graduation in may, commented on it right away calling me a loyalist, lorie, british scum, etc.

first off, i’m american. my father is american, my sister is american, and my mom became an american citizen last year. my brother is the only legal alien in my family.

second off, i’m not a loyalist, i just didn’t want to have to write this stupid paper.

i know they were kidding, but really?

don’t talk shit on MY facebook just because i’m proud of my english heritage and happen to be writing a paper involving england..

i know that seems like a stupid reason to get upset, but then they started asking me all these stupid questions about how i felt knowing that my family was on two different sides of the war. they were singling me out and i didn’t like it.

    :\

    thanks for listening.

Nah, it’s okay haha. I totally get it. Whenever we discuss hungary/bohemia in my civics class everyone makes fun of me because I’m really pale and don’t look mostly hungarian and bohemian (even though I am) because I’m swedish and irish too. So I totally get it. Be proud of who you are :)
